one year already

This year, I celebrated July 4th with my friends. It was the 250th year of America after Independence Day.

I didn’t plan to celebrate anything on that day at first, but it ended up with the baseball game, fireworks, and friends. I was very happy I did it.

The fireworks were awesome!
Bigger and longer than I thought for a small city like Durham. haha

However, while I was watching, I felt so deeply content, a feeling I never expected to have.
My eyes sparkling as I watched the fireworks, my heart full of happiness, something wild and alive racing inside me, like it was about to spill over.
And then I thought, “Am I really here in the U.S., for real??”

Every fortune teller told me my life was meant to be worked/studied/lived abroad, but I never believed that like no way at all, UNTIL NOW.

What a life!

And YES, today, July 6th, marks the 1st anniversary of my life in the U.S.
I did it!!!

Applying for school was tough, living and studying were tougher. I’m still navigating life ahead, but I know I was trained well enough to not give up! 🙂
